Since snow contributes a major amount to the available water, area Values of snow cover are required for estimation of the water resources. It has been established that a combination of remote sensing and ground measurements should be used for snow cover mapping. The Important parameters for hydrological purposes are snow depth, density and snow water equivalent. The reported snow gauge comprises a tipping bucket type SWE sensor with 20 Watt heating arrangement, a data logger, supporting electronics and a backed battery pack. With this arrangement, precipitation is calculated from the volume measurements of the accumulated water. The ‘Virtual’ make Snow Water Equivalent Recorder offers professional snow monitoring and good value for money. The standard instrument consists of a weatherproof enclosure, which contains the data logger and power supply, and comes complete with a Mounting stand and SWE sensor. Measurements can automatically store in systems memory as per user selectable logging period. Comes with integral mains charger (230 VAC, 50 Hz), which will easily keep the batteries charged throughout the year.
There are several types of snow gauges, the simplest of which is simply a measuring stick secured inside a metal container and anchored to the ground. This works well for the measurement of Snow Water Equivalent. Meteorologists and hydrologists are more likely to use container attached to a funnel shaped gauge. When the basin is full or the snowfall has ended. The snowfall is then arrived at by multiplying the water equivalent times 10

4-Component Net-Radiation Sensor:
This is a 4-component net-radiation sensor that is used for scientific-grade energy balance studies. The instrument has separate measurements of solar (Short Wave or SW) and Far Infra-Red (Long Wave or LW) radiation. Major improvements relative to comparable instruments include weight (reduced), solar offsets in the LW signal (reduced), ease of leveling (high, because leveling assembly is included).
Pyrgeometer Sensor:
This is a sensor that can be applied for Far Infra Red (FIR) radiation observations. The main application is in meteorological outdoor experiments. The scientific name of this instrument is pyrgeometer. This is heated, which improves measurement accuracy because it prevents dew deposition. This has a special housing, which makes it possible to include a transmitter, or amplifier. For additional information on the application, use and specifications of regular pyrgeometer, brochure and manual can be consulted.
Pyrheliometer Sensor:
This is a research grade normal incidence direct solar irradiance sensor (also known as a pyrheliometer). Suitable for tracker mounted operation is intended for short-wave direct solar irradiance measurement of the sun. This is a ‘First Class’ compliant pyrheliometer, as per the latest ISO and WMO standards.
Sun Tracker:
This Sun / Solar tracker is the most cost effective autonomous two-axis radiometer tracking platform in the market. This is a Micro controller based Automatic Wind Monitor reflect state of the art in micro controller based instrumentation design. Both wind speed and direction sensors can be attached with this data logger for the collection of real time data automatically. The micro controller converts the analog signals from these sensors to digital format. The micro controller has their individual operating software’s programmed in their internal EEPROMS and the data acquired by them is stored in their internal data RAMS. This micro controller remains in the sleep mode and wake up only when either a signal from the sensors is available or when they receive control signals from the master controller for acquiring the stored data. The micro controller has its internal memory along with an additional 512K EEPROM, a real time clock with an LCD (16 X 2) to display the instrument status.

This instrument comes with dual digital display measures speeds from 5 mph to over 125 mph. The unique tilting head folds flat for storage. Water-resistant display can be used in heavy rain. Multi-function display, in mph or km/h. Displays Current Speed plus Average or Max speed at the same time. Comfortable Vinyl handle. 3-cup rotor does not care which way the unit is pointed (unlike those little ones that must be pointed into the wind!). 4% accuracy from 10 to over 50 mph, good to over 100, (plus or minus a few tenths from 4 to 10 mph), Low mass rotor is responsive to gusts.

Cup Counter Anemometer is manufactured as per IS : 5912 : 1970 for measuring wind velocity / Wind Run. This instrument measures total run of wind passing at the point of observation through Mechanical Counter of the range 0 to 9999.9 km
